    My Felted Earring Organizer

    I have had this idea for a long time: a jewelry organizer made entirely of felted wool. Even though I’ve been thinking about it for a while, I never actually sat down to make it… until yesterday!

    I decided to start with the simplest version, as I actually have multiple ideas for similar jewellery organizers. This one is a felted “booklet” with two pages where you can freely place your earrings – I created this one mostly for my stud earrings.

    Solving a Messy Problem

    While it a simple object, I am really happy of how it turned out because it solved a real problem for me. Before this, my stud earrings were just sitting at the bottom of a drawer in a big mess. Now, they have a home, and the whole thing looks pretty neat!

    Well, I’m here to tell you that you are ready. This scarf is designed specifically for new knitters who want to move beyond the basic scarf but aren’t quite ready for a 20-row repeat. It uses a classic wave motif that looks fancy and organic, but it’s actually a brilliant exercise in the two “magic” moves of lace: Decreases and Yarn Overs (YO).

    While this wave pattern is a classic, I’ve simplified it down to its core so you can focus on your rhythm.

    After my last attempt at “boring yarn” didn’t quite hit the mark, I decided to lean into the chaos. If I couldn’t make it subtle, I was going to make it loud. Enter: the high-voltage purple and yellow 2-ply with, not one, but two different angelina colors!

    This might be a hugely unpopular opinion, but please hear me out.

    I LOVE yarn. I love art yarn. I love the pure luxury of it. Give me all the precious wools, the silk shimmer, the hand-dyed speckles, and the sparkling Angelina. I am a sucker for a perfectly blended gradient—those tropical sunsets, deep purples meeting light peach, or moody teals and golds. I buy it, I spin it, and I admire it… in the skein.

    But then… I KNIT IT.
