This week in the studio, I worked on a blend that feels like the very first hint of spring color. I needed some yarn to knit a simple small winter hat, and it was the perfect excuse to get back into spinning!
I have had my Ashford Spinning Wheel for I believe around 10 years now and I did spin a lot when I first bought it but I let this craft go for a few years, simply because I THOUGHT I had no time.

St. Joseph and baby Jesus in Wool
A few weeks ago, I stepped into a different world.
For a live Nativity scene, I took on the role of a needle felt maker in a small, reimagined shop. Surrounded by the bustle of the scene, I spent the day teaching teens how to guide the needle and shape the wool. It was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do – sharing a craft that is as old as time.

Handspun Yarn: Teal and Gold and… the Big Betrayal
Sometimes, the most stunning skeins of yarn are the hardest ones to wear.
In the studio this week, I was playing with a palette that felt regal and rich: a mix of deep, dark teals paired with a vibrant egg-yolk yellow. I even added a touch of Angelina for that golden, sun-drenched sparkle.
